Real Madrid are looking to make a bid for Chelsea star Eden Hazard next summer, according to reports from the Metro.
Hazard was the Blues’ and the Premier League’s best player last season, winning the PFA Player of the Year accolade as he helped his side to the English title.
However, the Belgium international has struggled to replicate that sort of form this term, which saw him benched by Jose Mourinho in the Blues’ 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.
This has therefore alerted Real Madrid, who were interested in signing Hazard during the summer.
If the 24-year-old continues to be a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge, the La Liga giants are expected to come in with a bid at the end of the campaign.
Madrid’s star man Cristiano Ronaldo is already 30 years old, and Hazard will be seen as a long-term replacement for the Portugal international.
Last season Hazard made 52 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals.
