Manchester United could reignite their interest in Sami Khedira as Real Madrid have announced that he would have a very limited role if he remains with them, Express reports.
Louis van Gaal has already admitted that the German international was one of the players that could help reinforce the struggling United midfield as well as bring them back to the top.
Khedira’s role in Spain looks under huge threat after the Champions League winners declared their intentions to sign Chelsea’s Ramires as well as Juventus’ midfield duo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
The three mentioned names all overlap with the current Madrid central midfielder and the Red Devils can use this to their advantaging by preparing a move for the 27-year-old.
Carlo Ancelotti would now want to cash in on the player as Van Gaal is believed to be ready to offer £20 million to bring Khedira to Old Trafford.
Arsenal are also another interested party, with Arsene Wenger willing to match any offers made by the Manchester side as they look for defensive mid fielders who can step right into the action after recently failing to land Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
