Real Madrid set £70m bid to trigger Liverpool striker buy-out clause

Real Madrid are ready to activate Luis Suarez’s buy-out clause with a £70million offer for the Liverpool star.

The Reds are being braced to receive a gigantic offer from the La-Liga outfit, who have made Suarez their number one target in this summer’s transfer window.

And it is reported that they will trigger a ‘get-out’ clause in the Uruguayan’s new contract to land their man.

Real Madrid Florentino Perez has been preparing an offer for the PFA Player of the Year and hopes to have a deal finalized before the World Cup in June.

“Florentino Perez will just come and ‘swoosh’,” a Spanish source told Mirror.

“He will prize Suarez away.

“He is their No 1 target.

“He ticks all the boxes and is easily the world’s best player behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.”

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to keep his star player, with Suarez’s 30 league goals a key component in Liverpool’s title push this season.

But Real Madrid are not a club frightened by high asking prices, signing Gareth Bale from Tottenham for a massive £86million last summer.

If Perez wants to make Suarez his latest ‘Galatico’, he may however need to offer Karim Benzema or Alvaro Morata as part of an exchange deal.
