The 17-year-old has been heavily linked with a loan move to German, with Bundesliga sides Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen keen on a years service.
The youngster’s father, Hans-Erik Odegaard, is set to meet with Madrid chiefs to discuss the near future. Odegaard featured off the bench for Los Blancos in their pre-season fixtures against Bayern Munich, PSG and Chelsea.
And whilst he has shown glimpses of his ability, he is yet to convince manager Zinedine Zidane that he’s ready to fight for a regular first team spot, with Real ready to loan him out for the upcoming season.
But despite the Bundesliga rumours, it appears both son and father are hoping Liverpool make a move for the 17-year-old. He visited Melwood when deciding who he would leave Strømsgodset for, before choosing the famous La Liga side.
The pair are waiting to hear if Jurgen Klopp will fulfil their dreams and offer to take the Norwegian on loan.
