Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has snubbed Manchester United’s interest by maintaining he is keen to stay with the European champions, Mirror reports.
The Portugal international was heavily linked with a return to Old Trafford next summer, but Ronaldo is hoping to discuss a contract extension once it expires in 2018.
It was suggested that the Ballon D’or winner was unhappy with life at the Bernabeu after the departure of Angel di Maria to Man United, but Ronaldo is adamant Real Madrid is where he wants to stay.
After collecting the trophy for the European Golden Shoe, he stated: “We’ll have to speak to Florentino about extending my contract.
“I’m very happy, enjoying life and in great form. I try to give my best out on the pitch and achieve everything possible for the club because the thing I like the most is winning.
“I hope to stay at Real Madrid until the end of my contract when I’m 33 and we’ll see if the president wants to extend it for a few more years.”
Ronaldo has been in exceptional form this year, scoring an amazing 22 goals in just 16 appearances.
