Real Madrid are focusing on selling Kaka, and will not make another bid for Luka Modric until the Brazilian is offloaded, The Sun report.
The Croatia international has made his desire to leave White Hart Lane clear after the club missed out on Champions League football for next term, and the Spanish champions are eager to sign the eastern European midfielder.
However, Andre Villas-Boas’ men are standing firm on their £40 million valuation of Modric, which the Santiago Bernabeu giants are yet to meet.
However, the sale of Kaka, who has been used sparingly of late by Jose Mourinho, will provide additional funds to focus on the pursuit of Modric.
The Brazilian is wanted by former club AC Milan, and Modric would take Kaka’s place in the Real Madrid squad.
