Real Madrid are ready to give Manchester United star David de Gea a £12million signing-on-fee if he waits out his the final year of his Red Devils contract, Mirror reports.
De Gea has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu over the summer, but a transfer failed to materialize after the Red Devils put a £35million price-tag on the Spain international.
With one year remaining on his current deal, Real are only willing to spend £25million to sign De Gea in the current window, but United are playing hardball and hope the La Liga giants pay the full fee.
But this tactic is set to back-fire, as Real are now asking the 24-year-old to wait out his contract and receive a massive £12million signing-on fee once he makes his move to Madrid.
De Gea is also unhappy with how manager Louis van Gaal has made his transfer saga public, making the fan-favourite fall out with many his supporters.
