Rangers goalkeeper, Allan McGregor has been recalled to Craig Levein's Scotland squad for next Wednesday's friendly match against Sweden.

With first choice keeper, Craig Gordon injured till October, McGregor will now be looking to stamp his mark on the team where he is also the clear favorite to start in goal for Scotland in the upcoming qualifying matches in September.

It is certainly a huge change in fortunes for McGregor who has not been involved with his country since the infamous Boozegate scandal in March 2009 which rocked Scottish Football. The 28 year old was originally dramatically, banned for life from international football along with his then Rangers team mate, Barry Ferguson. However his ban has been lifted to the wishes of manager, Craig Levein with McGregor now back in contention.

There are also recalls for Middlesborough defender, Stephen McManus, Rangers full back, Kirk Broadfoot and Rangers midfielder, Lee McCulloch, back from international retirement.

Ahead of the match in Stockholm next week, manager, Craig Levein will be hoping that there are no call off's from the Squad which was a regular feature under his predecessor, George Burley
