Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp was pleased with midfielder Tom Huddlestone after his stunning effort secured a priceless 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane to aid their quest for a top-four finish.

The 23-year-old lashed home during the tight contest and Redknapp was quick to heap praise on Trotters boss Owen Coyle and complimented the work he has done since arriving at the Reebok Stadium-based outfit from Burnley in January.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Redknapp said:"A typical Tom strike, right foot, left foot it all comes the same to Tom. He's the cleanest striker of the ball you'd ever wish to see and it was a great finish from him.

"They (Bolton) were solid. Owen's done a great job with them since he's been there, same as he did at Burnley before.

"He did a fantastic job with Burnley and he's gone to Bolton, pulled them out of relegation problems and they're a solid, good team with dangerous forwards.

"It was always going to be a tight game, we had good opportunities second half to have got the second goal, we didn't manage to take one.

"But one-nil, it's three points, that's the most important thing."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
