Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Mauricio Isla on loan for the season, according to the Daily Mail.
Isla featured for Chile during their impressive World Cup campaign, which saw them unfortunate to go out to Brazil on penalties in the last 16.
Harry Redknapp is keen to strengthen his squad having guided QPR back to the Premier League via the playoffs last season.
Talks are expected to continue over the weekend for the 26-year-old, however the Hoops face competition for his signature from both Marseille and Fiorentina.
Isla is capable of playing in central midfielder, as well as full back, with his versatility especially appealing to Harry Redknapp.
Meanwhile, the QPR boss is also considering a £4million move for Cardiff City midfielder Jordan Mutch.
The 22-year-old has been linked with Sunderland, although the Black Cats are said to have offered just £2.5million for his services.
Redknapp has already signed a player from Cardiff this summer, bringing in centre back Steven Caulker to play alongisde Rio Ferdinand, signed on a free from Manchester United.
