The Spanish boss confirmed that talks were ongoing between the club and Mascherano, revealing:"I was talking with him and his agent the other day and it is true Javier is happier. When you talk with Javier he is very settled and happy.
He went on to rubbish fears over goalkeeper Reina's future, saying confidently: "Pepe (Reina) is another key player and it is 100% he will continue with us."
