Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has been given a month to sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund.
Once again, the Polish striker has been in impressive form for Dortmund and was a key player in the team as they lifted the Bundesliga title last season.
This season the title has slipped from their grasp as Bayern Munich have already won the league, but Dortmund still have an outside chance in the Champions League.
In recent months, rumours have suggested that Lewandowski could be set to leave the club in the summer, as the forward’s contract finishes at the end of next season.
Despite being the first-choice striker at the club, it is thought Dortmund are willing to sell the striker in the upcoming transfer window, rather than lose him on a Bosman in a year.
Likely Premier League winners Manchester United are still thought to be interested in Lewandowski, but their move for the Polish forward broke down last summer after Robin van Persie became available.
