Speculation suggests defensive trio Kolo Toure, Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards will leave Manchester City in the summer.
Toure is out of contract in the summer and, according to the Manchester Evening News, he has been told he will not be offered a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, despite some impressive displays of late.
Vincent Kompany and Matija Nastasic are boss Roberto Mancini’s first-choice central defenders and the Italian is believed to be ready to cash in on Lescott to make room for his own transfer targets, including Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels.
Richards has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines due to injury, managing just four appearances, and City are thought to be keen to move the full-back on in the summer, due to the form of Pablo Zabaleta.
Mancini is keen to bring in at least one more striker in the summer and has also been linked with Roma defender Marquinhos, 18, with Lescott, Toure and Richards all set to depart to make room for new faces.
