Arsenal captain Robin van Persie is set to decide his future in the coming week, as the north London club will sit down with their skipper once more to try and thrash out a new deal, according to The Daily Mail.
The Netherlands international is in the last year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, and has seemed reluctant to extend, even after the Gunners offered to break their wage structure to keep him.
A new three-year deal worth £130,000-per-week that also includes a £5 million signing-on bonus has been spurned by the Dutch star, with a raft of other European clubs waiting in the wings if a deal cannot be reached.
Manchester City are known to be keen to bring the 2011-12 PFA Player of the Year to the Etihad Stadium, whilst Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to have an interest.
Arsene Wenger will sit down with Van Persie on a one-on-one basis this week to try and solve the striker’s future.
