Speaking to radio station talkSPORT, Brendan Rodgers has lifted the lid on what he needs this summer in terms of player recruitment.

What's the story?

After another dominant win against Rangers on Sunday, morale is high at Celtic right now and save for the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen, they're looking forward to challenges ahead this summer in UEFA Champions League qualifying.

That's all with a view to making the group stages of the competition and potentially making it into the knockout stages of either the the UCL or UEFA Europa League.

In order to do that, Rodgers will need to strengthen his squad further and the Celtic boss reckons he knows exactly what he needs.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Rodgers said:

We don't need many but if we can bring in a couple of players of quality, we want to make a mark on Europe next season. That would be progress for us and just keep the momentum going with the club.

It appears as if the strategy is all about quality, not quantity for the Hoops manager. Bringing in two more players to add to the likes of Moussa Dembele, Scott Brown and Scott Sinclair would certainly go a long way to assembling a prime XI ready to take on Europe's best.
