Roma star Radja Nainggolan has come out to play down speculation that he is in talks with Chelsea over a £35million transfer, Express reports.
The 27-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target following links that Italy manager Antonio Conte was set to take over from interim boss Guus Hiddink in the summer.
With the Blues struggling over the course of the campaign, the club is set to undergo a squad overhaul in the summer as they look to mount a title challenge next season.
It was believed that the midfielder has told his close friends that he was considering a move to the Premier League, but the Belgium international rejected the claims via his Twitter account.
“If I have not yet spoken with any club, why would I tell my friends I had?” he tweeted.
Conte is said to be preparing a £35million offer for the Roma star should he be confirmed as the new Chelsea boss ahead of the new campaign.
Nainggolan has already featured 35 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score three goals while providing another two assists.
