Roma are planning to lure Petr Cech to the Serie A despite the fact that Jose Mourinho has ruled out the sale of Chelsea’s veteran goalkeeper, Mirror reports.
With the club already letting third choice keeper Mark Schwarzer leave, the potential departure of Cech will leave the Blues with no adequate back up to first choice Thibaut Courtois.
The Czech star began to attract interest from a host of European sides after revealing that he was unhappy at his very limited playing time ever since the return of Courtois from his Atletico Madrid loan spell.
Mourinho revealed that there was no chance he was letting the 32-year-old leave, but the Serie A giants are said to still be keen on putting a deal together.
Cech only started one Premier League match so far this season and should he be allowed to leave, the club may not want to see him join another English side, hinting that a move to Italy could still be a possibility.
