Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has branded Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea "very good", but was quick to play down the speculation surrounding Spain's number one.
De Gea is again being strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu, two years after his expected transfer to Madrid collapsed due to a broken fax machine.
It has been claimed that Real Madrid are prepared to spend more than £60m to bring the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper back to Spain, but Ronaldo was quick to praise Real Madrid's current number one Keylor Navas when questioned on the interest.
Ronaldo told La Sexta:
“Keylor Navas is Real Madrid’s goalkeeper. De Gea is a very good keeper but he is at United. They talk about 50,000 footballers every year and they are always the same.
“Of the players they talk about, maybe one or two will arrive and that’s it.”
De Gea, 26, has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the world since joining Man United from Atletico in the summer of 2011.
The goalkeeper was left out of Jose Mourinho's side in the latter stages of the 2016-17 campaign, however, leading to suggestions that he could be moving to Real Madrid in this summer's window.
