Cristiano Ronaldo is refusing to rule out a move to Anzhi Makhachkala, according to talkSPORT, as the Russian side continue their hunt for the world's best players.

The Portugeuse international has emerged as a serious target for the Russian Premier League side and the Real Madrid winger admits he could leave the Bernabeu in the future.

Recent speculation had linked the 26-year-old with a return to former club Manchester United, whom he left two years ago in a world record £80 million deal.

But now it seems Anzhi are keen to continue their expensive recruitment drive with the signing of Ronaldo after he indicated he wouldn't rule out a move to the Russian side.

Ronaldo said: "In football you never know what can happen in the future. So if one day I go and play in Russia, do not be surprised."

"But for now I am doing well at Real Madrid."

Backed by billionaire owner Suleyman Kerimov, who bought the club in January, Anzhi have gone on a lavish spending spree in the last few months bring in a hoard of big name players.

They now have Yuri Zhirkov, Roberto Carlos and Samuel Eto'o in the ranks with the Cameroon striker being reportedly being paid £300,000-a-week. In addition, the team are targeting Fabio Capello to join them as manager once his England contract expires.
