Roy Hodgson is happy with Fernando Torres' form even after the Spain international wasted several presentable goalscoring opportunities during Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham.
Sebastien Bassong twice dispossessed Torres just as the striker was about to shoot at goal, but Hodgson remains unconcerned.
When asked about the former Atletico Madrid star, Hodgson said:"I think 'crisis of confidence' may be too strong.
"I was pleased with Fernando Torres.
"Fernando himself, because he sets very high standards, will be disappointed he didn't take on of the goal chances which his good play – to be fair – created."
