Ex-Manchester United star Roy Keane is the latest TV pundit to criticise Arsenal following their damaging defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Arsene Wenger's side face an almost impossible task of qualifying for the quarter-finals as they need to overturn a 5-1 deficit in the second leg at the Emirates next month.

The Gunners managed to recover after being put on the backfoot by Arjen Robben's 11th-minute strike when Alexis Sanchez followed up his saved penalty in the first half.

In just 10 minutes, though, Arsenal went from 1-1 to trailing 4-1 after conceding a goal from Robert Lewandowski and two from Thiago Alcantara.

Thomas Muller rubbed salt into the wound when he rounded off the victory with a goal shortly after coming off the substitutes bench.

During ITV's Champions League Highlights show, Keane admitted that he is not entirely surprised by the result, and claimed that Wenger only has two "decent" players in the team - presumably he means Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

"I'm not surprised. Did you think they'd go to Bayern Munich and get a result? We've said it before, though. Lack of leaders, lack of characters, hunger, desire.

"But I have to say, tonight at this level, this stage of the competition, they're just not good enough. So there's no point in being too critical of them, because they're not good enough. They've only got two decent players. The rest, average."
