Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna insists they must develop further playing options if their smooth passing style fails to break down the opposition in the future.

The Frenchman believes their free-flowing game is hindering their progress at times and, as Barcelona demonstrated in their 4-1 Champions League defeat in midweek, they were punished severely.

With the Premier League still to play for, the 27-year-old now wants the Gunners to go for the jugular on the domestic front.

Speaking to reporters, he said:"Sometimes I think we play too much.

"We just want to do that and do not think about what is good for us - sometimes we just need to cut out the football, stop playing for a bit and just consider what will help us achieve what we want.

"Football changes very quickly. Two months ago we were ten points behind and came back quickly. We did it once, we can do it again. We are confident that we will be back and they (Manchester United and Chelsea) will drop points.

"However, we just want to win every game until the end of the season and not think about the other teams."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
