Blackpool have snapped up full-back Salaheddine Sbai from French club Nimes until the end of the season.
Manager Ian Holloway has the option of extending the Moroccan international’s contract by 12 months, should the boss be impressed by his output at Bloomfield Road.
The 25-year-old Sbai was present at his new side’s 3-2 loss to Manchester United on Tuesday, and completed his first training session with his team-mates on Thursday.
He is expected to be available for selection in Blackpool’s clash with English Premier League strugglers West Ham on Wednesday at home.
Sbai is a flexible defender, varying his position from left-back to centre-back, and has twice represented his nation.
