As reported by The Express, Scott Sinclair has re-affirmed his desire to stay at Celtic despite his wonderful form sparking speculation he could move back to the English Premier League.
The Express say he is on the radar of multiple English sides after winning player of the year awards both at club and national level this month.
He’s been a key part of an incredible Hoops season under Brendan Rodgers and fans will be hoping he stays for years to come.
It appears the feeling is mutual with Sinclair adamant he is going nowhere.
As quoted by The Express, he said:
I’ve found my happiness and I’m enjoying every minute at Celtic and I wouldn’t think of a reason to leave. I wanted the enjoyment back so why would I want to leave and find myself back in a situation I was in last year or the year before? I’m in no rush to leave here. I’ve had all these moves before.
It appears that after unsatisfying spells in England, Celtic have attracted a player at his peak that also understands how good he has it in Glasgow, the perfect scenario for Hoops fans!
With 25 goals in 46 appearances this season, only Moussa Dembele has scored more goals than the winger this season and there’s even an outside chance the Englishman overtakes the young Frenchman given the latter’s hamstring injury.
He’s been a sensation, not just contributing goals but setting them up too and generally being a nuisance and threat against every Scottish side.
Excelling in Europe too, he’s been one of Celtic’s best signings for years and at 28 years of age still has plenty of room to grow into an icon at the Glasgow side.
