Arsenal are looking to reignite their interest in Schalke’s Julian Draxler after it was revealed that the club has sent scouts to monitor the winger in hopes of signing him in the near future, Metro reports.
Club personnels were sent to watch the German international when his side played Maribor in the Champions League group stages, where the match ended 1-1.
He was also part of the national squad that proved victorious in Brazil as they brought home the World Cup despite insisting that he was unhappy with his overall display throughout the previous campaign.
The 21-year-old earlier revealed that he thought he wasn’t performing at a level that would attract managers such as Arsene Wenger or Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers, but he somehow seemed to do just that.
With a £37million clause tied into his contract, the Bundesliga side will be looking for quite a hefty profit should Wenger decide to splash in on signing yet another attacking player.
