Sevilla centre-back Alberto Botia is wanted by Swansea as they look to strengthen for next season.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has admitted the Sevilla defender is on his summer wish list as he looks to take the club forward after their successful season in his first year.
Original reports in January suggested that the Sevilla star was on his way to Wales but that was quickly denied by Laudrup.
It is thought Sevilla would be looking for a fee of around £6million to allow him to leave as he has been a key part of their set-up throughout the current campaign.
Botia, who has been part of Spain’s senior squad, joined Sevilla from Sporting Gijon last summer.
Speaking about the deal, Laudrup said: “He is a good player, but there are a lot of good players in that position. He may be on a list but it’s a long list.
“We have been linked with three or four players already, and this is only the beginning.
“There will be a lot of rumours with the transfer window coming up.”
