Southampton ace Gaston Ramirez is being tipped to leave the club in the summer as Lazio hope to secure his services on a free transfer, Mirror reports.
The 24-year-old is currently playing out the final year of his contract and will be allowed to open talks with a host of interested clubs over a move when the season ends.
He joined from Bologna for £12million back in 2012, but has been struggling to hold down a regular role since his arrival.
The Saints are now believed to be considering his sale in the upcoming January window in order to avoid losing him for free, but it is likely that the midfielder will run down his contract and instead leave in the summer.
Manager Ronald Koeman earlier admitted that Ramirez still has a role to play at St Mary’s Stadium, but after only featuring for 10 minutes in the league so far this term, his future is in serious doubt.
