Southampton have yet to receive an offer from Manchester United regarding Morgan Schneiderlin, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with an exit the past few weeks, with Arsenal previously in pole position to sign the 24-year-old.
But with Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal desperately keen on a defensive midfielder, Man United moved quick after Southampton allowed Schneiderlin to leave if a club can pay £24million for his services.
And Schneiderlin looks to have agreed terms with United after the club hierarchy met with the player’s representatives, but the two sides have not settled on a transfer fee.
Saints manager Ronald Koeman revealed that there has been no ‘serious’ offer from United, but they will be waiting for a bid to arrive in the coming days.
He said: “We have the situation with Morgan Schneiderlin, we will have to wait what will happen. Until now, we have not a serious bid for him from Man United.
“We will wait, but OK – that’s business that normally starts from now. It’s no problem – it’s the first day.
“We have the experience from last season – it will be not the same this season, but we are prepared for everything. I am looking forward for another good season.”
