Southampton are looking to sign Manchester City’s Micah Richards in the summer, that is according to the Sunday People.
Richards has spent all season on loan at Serie A outfit Fiorentina – he is in fact the last English representative in Europe following Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton’s exits in the last fortnight – although the right-back has only made a total of 12 appearances across all competitions for the Italian side.

Ronald Koeman is keen on the former England international to fill the potential void that would be left should Nathaniel Clyne be tempted by the reported interest of Manchester United in him.
Southampton may well be able to offer Man City’s Richards Champions League football, with yesterday’s 2-0 win over Burnley keeping them just six points off of Manchester United in the final spot for qualification to club football’s biggest tournament.
Richards is a free agent at the end of the season.
