Southampton have joined Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj on loan this season, according to reports from the Express.
The 20-year-old started his last two matches, scoring one against Aston Villa while helping his side overcome Club Brugge 3-1 in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier yesterday.
However, he has constantly been linked with a loan move elsewhere following speculation that manager Louis van Gaal is still keen on more attacking reinforcements.
Both the Saints as well as Dortmund have emerged as possible destinations for the Belgium international despite his manager earlier revealing that he was not for sale.
With United tipped to sign Barcelona star Pedro this week, along with rumours that Van Gaal is also keen on Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, Januzaj may be forced to play a bit-part role this season.
He only managed to start seven Premier League games last term and is also being monitored by Serie A winners Juventus.
