Southampton are prepared to make a second attempt to sign Leeds United right back Sam Byram, but will face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal, Daily Star reports.
The 21-year-old was already a target for Ronald Koeman, who earlier saw his initial £4million bid rejected by the Championship club, is being tipped to make another offer.
Koeman is currently scouting the English right-back, with the latest being during Byram’s match against Birmingham City on Saturday and with Nathaniel Clyne’s future still in doubt, he would provide adequate cover.
Both Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Clyne as the English giants are preparing to go head-to-head in order to acquire the services of the defender.
Leeds are currently 20th in the English Championship with Byram having featured in 22 out of 26 matches and aiding his team by providing them with two assist so far this season.
