Southampton star Jose Fonte is feeling confident ahead of their clash with Manchester City despite the absence of star man Graziano Pelle, Daily Star reports.
The 30-year-old will be unavailable for selection heading into the weekend after he was shown his fifth yellow card of the campaign last week.
Pelle has been a prominent member of the squad for manager Ronald Koeman up top, already scoring nine goals so far this season.
However, Fonte has revealed that even without the services of the Italy international, the remaining 11 players that are selected can still get the job done.
“We have other players in the team, so we need to deal with it. We’ll still play with 11 there, so we should be alright,” he said.
“Obviously Graziano is an important part in our team and it is going to be difficult without him.”
City will also be doing all they can to avoid dropping points this weekend given that they have already lost two games in the space of less than a week.
The Premier League giants fell to a shock 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool in the league last weekend before losing to Juventus in the Champions League 1-0 last night.
