Spaniards eye Manchester City striker

Spanish club Valencia are planning a January swoop for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, according to Spanish news outlet Marca.

Dzeko was initially first choice at the Etihad this season under new boss Manuel Pellegrini but the form of Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo has changed that.

The Bosnian striker may get more of a go with Aguero currently injured, but becoming the main man at Valencia could change that.

Valencia are on the verge of a big money takeover and could have up to £30million to spend in the January window in order to improve their side and current league positions as they are currently in danger of missing out on Champions League football for a second successive season.

The La Liga outfit have failed to replace the deadly Roberto Soldado who they sold to Spurs in the summer although City will want big money for Dzeko as they need more than two first team fit strikers.
