Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez has confirmed that both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in his signature, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
Ayoze has been heavily linked with a move away from St. James’ Park in recent weeks, with the Spaniard playing an essential role in the Magpies’ climb from the relegation zone.
And his performances have not gone unnoticed, alerting Premier league duo Man United and Spurs.
However, the attacker is unfazed by the interest from the English giants, stating that he is only focused on helping Newcastle climb up the table this season.
“There is truth in the talk about interest in me. It’s rewarding for me,” he told Radio Club Tenerife.
“There is much truth in the interest from Tottenham and Man United, but my place is at Newcastle.”
Earlier this month, the 22-year-old revealed he was glad that his displays were seen by bigger clubs, and that he could consider leaving in the future.
After being stuck in a relegation battle for most of the campaign, the Toon Army climbed out after two shock wins in succession against Liverpool and then Tottenham Hotspur, but only managed a 1-1 draw against rock bottom Aston Villa this past weekend.
