Arsenal and Manchester United have been alerted after Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze revealed that Real Madrid aren’t interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Express reports.
The 26-year-old has emerged as a top attacking target for both Premier League giants following his very impressive performance in the Bundesliga this season.
However, the pair were halted in their chase for the striker after he admitted that he is only keen on a move to the Bernabeu.
The two sides are likely to jump back in the race for his services after Watze stated that Real president Florentino Perez has not mentioned anything about their intentions for Aubameyang.
“Aubameyang’s Madrid dream? You can count on it that I would know if Madrid had the same dream,” he told Welt am Sonntag.
“I have a great relationship with Madrid president Florentino Perez and I think I would know if they wanted him.”
United-linked manager Jose Mourinho is believed to have made the Gabon international one of his top transfer target should he replace current boss Louis van Gaal in the summer.
The Gunners have also been linked with a move for the forward over the past few seasons as manager Arsene Wenger looks to add more scoring options up top.
He has already featured 41 times in all competitions this term, so far managing to score 36 goals while providing another 11 assists.
