Liverpool have been alerted amid speculation that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to step up their chase to sign Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, Express reports.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a host of top European clubs after hitting top form so far in the current Premier League campaign.
Both Spanish giants were believed to have been preparing a scouting mission to watch him in action for England during the international break, but with the striker picking up an injury, their efforts were halted.
Vardy is currently the league’s top scorer with 12 goals in 12 matches so far this season and has already scored in his previous nine consecutive matches for his side.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri earlier admitted that he could be powerless to stop his star striker from leaving if a huge offer is made, something the two Spanish teams can easily do.
Apart from the two La Liga clubs along with the Reds, Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the services of the on-form forward.
