Spanish star in Chelsea’s sights

IscoChelsea will reportedly enter the race to sign Malaga star Isco this summer when Jose Mourinho takes over at Stamford Bridge.

A report in Spanish newspaper AS claims that the Portuguese tactician is looking for the Europa League winners to press ahead with a transfer swoop for the highly-rated 21-year-old Spanish starlet.

That would see Mourinho go into direct competition with his former club Real Madrid, who are believed to have made Isco their top transfer target, while current Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini is also set to try and lure the player to Manchester City with him when he takes over as expected.

When quizzed about his future, Isco, who is set to command a fee of 35 million euros, told AS: “Madrid? There’s options… Now we’ll see what happens.”
