Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been spotted near Chelsea’s training ground visiting a school, boosting the speculation that he could replace Jose Mourinho as the boss, according to reports from the Mirror.
Rodgers was only recently sacked by the Reds at the beginning of last month, but with the champions in such disarray, the Northern Irishman has already been linked with a quick return to football management.
And his recent arrival at Cobham will only boost the speculation after a video was taken of him in the London tube and at Waterloo station the past Monday.
Rodgers has already worked with Chelsea before as a coach during Mourinho’s first stint with the Blues, making him a sound candidate to steady the rocky Chelsea ship.
Mourinho has been under intense pressure in recent weeks to fix the struggling side, with the Blues dangling at 16th on the Premier League table after 12 games played.
