Tottenham are expected to confirm the signature of Gylfi Sigurdsson within the next 24 hours according to Sky Sports.
The White Hart Lane club have appointed ex-Chelsea trainer Andre Villas Boas as their new manager, with a busy summer in the transfer market expected by the north London side.
Sigurdsson impressed whilst on loan at Swansea last season, scoring seven goals in 19 games for the Welsh outfit in the second-half of the campaign.
The Liberty Stadium side were keen to make a move for the Icelandic midfielder permanent, whilst Brendan Rodgers also wanted the Scandinavian at Anfield.
However, it is believed that Tottenham have agreed terms with both the player and his club Hoffenheim, and will release details of a deal in the next day.
