Tottenham legend Ledley King believes the north London outfit will struggle to make the top four this season – but reckons the Argentine is the right man for the job.
The former Spurs and England defender thinks it is time the club started obtaining Champions League football but accepts this probably isn’t the year.
King, 34, said: “It is going to be tough to finish in the top four this season.
“There’s going to be six or seven teams thinking they’ve got a chance of the top four.
“We are one of them but a lot of things would have to go right for us this season.
“It will be difficult this season but long-term we have the right manager.
“I’m sure he’ll still want to bring in one or two players.
“It is going to take a little bit of time for him to get his thoughts and methods across. But we’re confident he is the right man.”
