Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios has stated that he is fit and ready to play, and wants to be involved in the Potters' Premier League clash with Blackburn at the weekend.

The Honduras international moved to the Britannia Stadium from Tottenham in the summer for £6 million, but has had a difficult time thus-far.

Palacios has only managed 38 minutes of Premier League action so far since moving to the Midlands, but has featured in the Carling Cup and in Europe.

A knee injury has blighted his time with Tony Pulis' side, but Palacios is in contention for a place in the side on Saturday.

“I am 100 per cent fit and at the manager’s disposal, but it is up to Tony Pulis to put me in the team," he told Mirror Football.

“I am happy at Stoke. I came here with a bad injury, but now I’m ready to play.’’

Stoke have had an excellent Europa League campaign so far this season, but have suffered ill-effects in the Premier League and currently sit down in 14th place ahead of the weekend's fixtures.
