Liverpool have accepted a £13million offer for the midfielder, who has just one year left on his Anfield deal. And the Reds have decided to sell the midfielder now instead of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Former club Swansea City had been linked with a move for Allen, but are apparently unwilling to match the £13million fee being offered by Stoke City.
The 26-year-old played in 19 Premier League games last season, his 4th in Liverpool Red. And despite the Welshman’s performances improving since Jurgen Klopp took over, it seems that he’s played his last game at Anfield.
Allen scored twice in the Premier League last season, including a last minute equaliser against Arsenal, to take his total league tally to four during his Liverpool career. The midfielder had scored four goals in his final season with Swansea.
