Stoke City star Charlie Adam has revealed that he is unwilling to leave Stoke City, despite being offered a chance to join former Manchester United boss David Moyes at Real Sociedad, Daily Star reports.
The 29-year-old was linked with a January move to Spain, but has now ruled out the possibility after admitting that he would be open to extending his current contract.
“I’m not going anywhere. I will see my contract out and if the club want to speak to me about a new one I would be delighted to,” he said.
He also revealed it was all rumours, and that the reason the news broke out was because Adam’s agent is the brother of the Real Sociedad boss.
The Scotland international joined from Liverpool back in 2012 after only one season at Anfield, making 28 appearances.
Although he has only been given eight starts and was introduced as a substitute a further 13 times, it is quite clear that the midfielder is likely to stay at the Britannia.
“I have been here nearly three years now and hopefully I will continue here for many years to come.”
Putting his struggles with United in the past, Moyes’ side are now ninth in La Liga after picking up three consecutive victories.
