Stoke join West Ham in race for Tottenham midfielder

Mark Hughes is looking to bring Tottenham Hotspur’s out-of-favour Aaron Lennon to Stoke City, that is according to ESPN.

Lennon, who is currently Tottenham’s longest serving player, has found first-team chances limited under Mauricio Pochettino with the former England international having only started three Premier League games and two Europa League games this season – although he has made another nine substitute appearances across both competitions.

Spurs are believed to want a fee of £7million for the player they signed as a youngster from Leeds United back in 2005 and will then look to reinvest that money into other areas of the squad.

Fellow Premier League outfits Leicester City, West Ham and West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with a move for the 27-year-old.
