Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has hit out at the one or two egos who have caused problems among the club's squad in recent times.

Strikers Dave Kitson and James Beattie are widely believed to be the players who have annoyed Pulis in recent times and the Potters boss is not going to allow the overall spirit at the club to be jeopardised.

He told The Sentinel:"We have a great dressing room, there's just one or two people in there who have their own agendas, people whose egos sometimes cloud their judgement.

"There will always be one or two within a dressing room whose one persona far outweighs the dressing room and who live in the bubble.

"We've got one or two people who think they are above it, but I can't emphasise enough how good the spirit in our dressing room is. That was proved again against Everton on Saturday.

"The players have been brilliant this season, but there are one or two who have been disappointing behind the scenes.

"That happens, but there's more in there pulling for this club and who respect this club."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
