Stoke set for home comforts

Stoke City manager Tony PulisStoke City have been on a bit of a poor run of late, but tellingly, five of their last seven games have been away from home. Everybody knows they are a completely different proposition on home turf; they haven’t lost at the Britannia in 2011. Newcastle always manage to spring a surprise, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see them walk away from the Midlands with all three points. But Alan Pardew’s team have drawn far too many games of late, and with relegation still not completely ruled out, they need to start beating the teams around them – like Stoke. For me, though, I can’t see them being able to take anything from the Britannia.
