The Algerian international, who featured prominently for his country at the 2014 World Cup, looks set to leave the Mestalla on a free transfer this summer with his contract winding down.
His availability has generated interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur according to The Express, whilst The Daily Star moot Arsenal and Liverpool and potential suitors as well.
And the 26-year-old’s expected summer departure now seems only more certain, amid news that Valencia have suspended him for missing training and his overall attitude in recent weeks.
An official club statement read; “Valencia Football Club has decided to open disciplinary proceedings to the player Sofiane Feghouli.
“During the processing of said procedure, and awaiting the resolution of the matter, the player will be suspended as a cautionary measure, in accordance with the current convention between the AFE and Liga de Futbol Profesional.”
Despite widespread interest in his services, the winger has struggled for form this season. He’s found just one goal and one assist in 21 La Liga appearances, averaging less than one successful take on per match.
Outside of the Premier League, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan have been linked with signing Feghouli on a Bosman deal.
