Sunderland are considering to bring in Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira to replace Dick Advocaat as the club’s manager, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Black Cats are currently in crisis as they struggle at the bottom of the Premier League table, managing to accumulate only two points from their opening seven games.
Advocaat was looking to leave the post after saving the Wearside club from relegation last season, but was persuaded to remain at the Stadium of Light amid their struggles to bring in a new manager.
However, with results not going their way, Sunderland are prepared to have another go at summer target Patrick Vieira, despite Manchester City reluctant to let go of the Frenchman who is currently their youth team coach.
But, the Citizens know that Vieira is keen on becoming a manager in the future, and the Frenchman may be tempted to take the job to start his managerial career.
