Sunderland are currently in negotiations over signing Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj on loan, according to reports on the Daily Star.
Januzaj has found regular first-team football hard to come by ever since the arrival of Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford last summer, with the likes of Ashley Young ahead of him in the pecking order.
However, the Belgium international had a few impressive performances during pre-season, including a goal against European Champions Barcelona in the United States.
This has therefore caused Van Gaal to consider the 20-year-old into his first-team plans, but it seems that Sunderland are pushing hard for a loan switch.
The Black Cats narrowly escaped relegation from the English top flight the past two seasons, and are hoping to add a new attacking player after losing Connor Wickham to Crystal Palace earlier this week.
Januzaj only made 18 league appearances last season, scoring no goals.
