New Sunderland manager David Moyes wants to raid former club Manchester United for striker Will Keane and is preparing a £6.5 million offer for the starlet, The Sun report.
The Scotsman has replaced Sam Allardyce at the Stadium of Light and is set to be backed with transfer funds to bring new faces to the North East.
Keane was tipped to have a bright future at Old Trafford but has seen opportunities few and far between in the Red Devils’ first team.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Preston but only scored one goal in 20 appearances before returning to United.
With Jose Mourinho now at the helm and charged with delivering instant success, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of a host of high-profile stars to move to United.
As such, Keane can expect to be on the fringes in 2016-17 and may well jump at the opportunity to get more regular action with Moyes at Sunderland.
